When I decided to try my hand at getting published, I happened to find the few pages I'd finished and I used it as a basis for my faerie world beyond the myst. I wanted to give the flavor of great fantasy stories like The Rings Trilogy by Tolkien and The Shannara Series by Terry Brooks. I wanted my world to come alive to readers, and from the reviews I've received, it sounds like I may have accomplished that. For me, that is the biggest compliment. That the world I created was so real, my fans became a part of the story. This is the first of a series of books. It was set to be a trilogy, but I've had such an outpouring of mail for stories about the other characters, we've decided to open it up.
